What is a solar investment?

A solar investment refers to the acquisition of all or part of a photovoltaic system with the aim of generating ongoing income through the sale of electricity.

Rooftop systems on commercial properties or units of larger solar parks are typical. Electricity is marketed via statutory feed-in tariffs (EEG), direct marketing or PPAs (electricity supply agreements).

In contrast to other forms of investment such as shares or commodities, a solar investment is backed by a physical asset – with predictable cash flows and a high level of transparency.

Selection and due diligence

Our network of project developers gives us a broad view of the projects on offer. We review them technically, commercially and legally. Having assessed a large number of projects, we know what matters. You only see what passes our review.

Structure and implementation

From registering the business and the investment deduction allowance through to the purchase, lease, insurance and maintenance contracts, we accompany every step. On request we help you find suitable financing.

Operation and administration

Once the installation is commissioned, a service provider takes over technical and commercial management. You receive regular reports on yields and distributions. We stay at your side and can remain directly involved if you wish.

You decide, we provide the well-founded basis for it. We have co-invested in many of these assets and so have skin in the game.
