General information on data processing
The protection of your personal data is of high importance to us. We process personal data exclusively in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the applicable statutory provisions. Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.

Hosting and access data
Our website is hosted by Vercel Inc., USA. Personal data may be transferred to the USA in this context. Vercel is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. When you access our website, the server automatically collects technical access data. This includes, in particular, the IP address, date and time of access, browser used, operating system, and the previously visited page. This processing is carried out to ensure the security and stability of our website. The legal basis is our legitimate interest pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Contact
If you contact us via the contact form or by email, we process the data you provide solely for the purpose of handling your enquiry. This includes, in particular, your first and last name, your email address, the content of your message and – if you choose to provide it – your telephone number. Processing is carried out either for the performance of pre-contractual measures or on the basis of our legitimate interest in proper communication. For the technical delivery of contact-form messages we use the service Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France); processing takes place within the EU. We also store your enquiry in our case-handling system Notion (Notion Labs, Inc., USA), so that no enquiry is lost and we can handle it in a traceable way. The transfer to the USA takes place on the basis of the EU standard contractual clauses.

Use of the Solar Calculator
When using our web-based software solution “Solar Calculator”, we process personal data to the extent necessary for registration, provision, and use of the platform. The technical infrastructure of the platform is operated via Render.com. This may involve the transfer of personal data to the United States. Such transfers are carried out on the basis of appropriate safeguards pursuant to Article 46 GDPR, in particular the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission. Processing is carried out for the performance of a contract pursuant to Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Where we use Google Analytics, this is done exclusively on the basis of your explicit consent pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG). The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Dublin, Ireland. Google Analytics is used to analyse and optimise our website. The IP address is anonymised within the EU before processing. A transfer of data to servers of Google LLC in the United States cannot be excluded. Google is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Google Analytics is only activated after you have consented to the Statistics category in the cookie banner. Google Analytics is linked to our Google Ads account so that we can see whether enquiries originate from ads. If you have not consented to the Marketing category, no advertising cookies are set in the process and the data is not used for personalised advertising. Google Ads
Where we use Google Ads, this is done exclusively on the basis of your explicit consent pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. We use Google Ads to measure whether an enquiry submitted via our contact form originates from one of our ads (conversion tracking). In doing so, Google processes in particular your IP address, information about your browser and device, the pages visited and, where applicable, the identifier of an ad click. Google may also combine this data with data from other websites into pseudonymous usage profiles and show you ads tailored to your visit to this website (remarketing). Google processes the data as an independent controller; Google’s data protection terms for advertisers apply (Google Ads Controller-Controller Data Protection Terms). A transfer of data to servers of Google LLC in the United States cannot be excluded. It takes place on the basis of the European Commission’s adequacy decision on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (Article 45 GDPR), under which Google is certified. Google Ads is only activated after you have consented to the Marketing category in the cookie banner; this consent is independent of the one for Google Analytics. Data retention
Personal data is stored only for as long as necessary to fulfil the respective purpose or as required by statutory retention obligations. Enquiries submitted through the contact form are deleted no later than six months after they have been dealt with. Where an enquiry leads to a business relationship, retention follows that relationship and the statutory periods applying to it.
